Shipping policy

At Footplate, we take great care in packing and dispatching every order — particularly as many of the models we sell are unique, one-off, or collectible items. Our aim is to ensure your purchase arrives safely and promptly.

UK Shipping

Most UK orders are shipped using Royal Mail Tracked 48.

  • Fully tracked service
  • Typical delivery in 2–3 working days after dispatch
  • Signature may be required depending on value
  • Tracking details are provided once dispatched

For higher-value or larger items, we may upgrade the service (e.g. Special Delivery or courier) at our discretion for security and insurance purposes.

International Shipping

Worldwide orders are shipped using International Tracked & Signed services.

  • Full tracking and signature on delivery
  • Delivery times vary by destination
  • Tracking details provided on dispatch

Customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by their country.

Alternative Shipping Services

If you require a specific delivery service, expedited shipping, or courier option, we are happy to discuss this before purchase where possible.

Dispatch Times

  • Orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 working days
  • During busy periods (shows, large collections, seasonal peaks), dispatch may take slightly longer
  • We always aim to dispatch as quickly as possible without compromising packing quality 

Packaging Standards

We pack all items securely using appropriate protective materials. Pre-owned and delicate models receive extra care to minimise transit risk.

Incorrect Addresses

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery address entered at checkout is correct.

We cannot be held responsible for delays or losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.

 Lost or Delayed Items

If your order has not arrived within a reasonable timeframe:

  • Contact us and we will investigate with the carrier
  • Claims for lost items can only be processed after the carrier’s investigation period has passed
