LGB G Gauge 20380 New Orleans Streetcar, Collection Item
Millions of people have ridden these all-steel, all-American streetcars on urban lines from California to Pennsylvania. But one person, a young Marlon Brando, made this streetcar famous as he bellowed “Stellllllaaaaa!” in the groundbreaking 1951 movie, “A Streetcar Named Desire.” (Interestingly, the name was not a Hollywood creation. It came from the real Desire Street streetcar line, which ran through New Orleans’ famous French Quarter.)
Lettered for the New Orleans Public Service Company, this beautifully proportioned, self-propelled model brings this famous Perley Thomas streetcar to life on your layout. And with standard opening doors, interior seating and lighting, your passengers can enjoy the nightlife of the French Quarter as well!
